Last time I saw a full lunar eclipse was when I was in labor with DS. (I'm sure there have been others since, but I didn't stay up to watch.) When we transferred to the hospital L&D was packed. All the hospitals in the city were full of laboring moms. Hope no one gets any ideas about going into labor tonight!

As desperate as I am to be done with this pregnancy, I'll wait til the next full moon (September 26, according to my calendar). My twin boys were born at this exact gestation -- 34w2d -- and were in the NICU for a week and then a peds ward for 3 days, and it's an experience I don't want to repeat. Dd was born on her edd.

My thoughts exactly! Although I am SO ready to be done and meet my little baby girl, I will (sigh) gladly wait until she's fully ready. September 26 you say? Ok...I think I can do that...phew.

Until May of this year when I got a new edd in Oct instead of late August I was banking on this lunar eclipse full moon... now I'll be happy to wait just a few more weeks...

Hee, I'm pretty sure my baby's going to wait to be born on the NEW moon in November, so I'm not too worried about this eclipse. It is exciting though!

36 weeks tomorrow. I wouldn't mind going into labor, so long as I delivered at 36 weeks +.

I have been feeling really weird these past couple of days...not a good sign, let's hope it can all be chalked up to the moon. My breasts began feeling really weird today too.

Not having ctrx though........good sign.

I'm due 9/24.

Well I am past my EDD, and hoping that the belly as round as the full moon is effected by the eclipse. After 3 weeks of prodromal labor and now a separated pubic symphisis (the cartilage holding my pubic bones together has sepated thanks to alittle but excruciating tear). I AM READY!!!!
And will now be birthing in water to alleviate the pressure on the pelvis, since i cannot walk without crying, i can't imagine a baby plowing through :
So I hope for some influence on this 9 pounder in my belly that needs to pack it up in there so mamma can start recovering, and his/her two sisters can see that there really is a baby inside mom's big belly!
Let me try and get some zzzss
mother of Nadya 2/8/03 born on due date (8lb 4 oz)
Miriam 11/20/04 also born on due date (8lb 2 oz.)
