I have noticed that babes seem to "pick" the most inopportune times to have to go to the potty The most recent one for me was in the grocery store. But was it when we just got there? No. How about when we're leisurely walking around shopping? Nope. Try when I had JUST finished unloading all the groceries from the cart up on to the conveyor belt. "Mommy... I have to go potty!" Ugh. :LOL I told the checker to check slowly. RAN him to the potty, came back and they were waiting for me The lady behind us in line was understanding though... "just learning how to go potty? I know that you have to take them right then, it's ok". :LOL

Anyone else have any funny potty stories with your babe?

Yep I too head to the nearest bathroom when my son was first potty training now we do have a little time before he HAS to go.

The other day I am my husband were talking in the bedroom and hear our son in the bathroom. He is making grunting sounds and then in a loud voice he says AMAZING. And then comes in to tell us about the AMAZING poop he did. It was too cute.

Ooo...I have one! Just happened the day before yesterday!
So, ds is 21 months, and he's very fond of his potty, but doesn't really understand it well at all yet. (uses it mostly as a step ladder)
When he pees in the tub he proudly proclaims "Potty!!!". He knows his potty chair is called the potty chair.
Well, the day before yesterday I walked into the living room and ds had taken off his diaper, and was standing in his little red *sofa* chair peeing.
He saw me and, with a huge smile on his face, yelled "POTTY!!! CHAIR!!!"

Luckily, the chair has a washable cover...lol..

We are just starting so no funny stories yet. But, my dd decided it was time to start pottying on Mother's Day. Isn't that cute! She pooped in her potty for the first time, of her own choice, on Mother's Day. I was pretty pleased.

:LOL

Too funny!
We have a dog who sometimes has accidents in the house (she has way more than DS ever did!) and now when he sees a puddle, he says "NO, CHEYENNE! You go potty on GRASS, not in my house! *I* go potty in the potty or on grass!" :LOL Sometimes when we take her out to pee, he wants to pee on he grass too, so I let him

I love how he calls it *his* house though I guess he's entitled -- he was born in the living room :LOL

Hahahah!!! My DS thinks his poop is pretty amazing too, or at least the fact that he can now see it in the potty... he will keep "checking" to see how much is there. Ick! hahahah. He'll be in there like 10 minutes and keep saying "I not done yet, mommy! I still poopin'!" So I just say "OK, you let me know when you need help".
