My DH talks in his sleep often. He says some of the the funniest things, usually some how incorporating work into the talk.<br><br>
Last night though was totally off the wall.....<br><br><b>DH:</b> Crayons! They dug crayons out of the ground in Utah.<br><br><b>Me</b> (becuase I just had to ask): What size of crayon are they?<br><br><b>DH:</b> regular sized.<br><br><b>Me:</b> What color are they? <span style="font-size:xx-small;">desperatly trying not to laugh too loud so i dont wake him and ruin my entertainment.</span><br><br><b>DH:</b> They are wood colored. They use them to make guitars with.<br><br>
I just totally lost it at that point, and got out of bed to write down the conversation so that I could share it with others <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

Once, DD1 had a dream where she saw DD2 towards the end of it. She asked out loud "DD2, am I dreaming?" DD2, in her bed in their shared bedroom, answered "yes" and it was incorporated into DD1's dream.<br><br>
They both thought it was quite amusing later (DD1 not realizing she'd spoken aloud until later.)

He IM'ed me from work this morning, so I asked him what he knew about crayons, Utah and guitars. He had NO IDEA what I was talking about. He says he remembers me crawling out of bed laughing but thats about it. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

Apparently I talk in my sleep all the time. DH told me that once I sat straight up and said "There's a man in our closet" DH freaked- I, however, went back to sleep.....

Dh is a law enforcement officer, and he often talks in his sleep. Leads to some really interesting conversations. When we were dating, I lived in a house, but only had a mattress on the floor for awhile in my bedroom. One night I woke to find him kneeling at the window peeking his head to look out of it. I got up and asked him what he was doing? He shushed me, and grabbed my hand and pulled me to the ground by his side. He acted like he handed me something and said, "Shhhh, they're coming. I'll take the right and you take the left." I tried so hard not to laugh. "honey, who's coming?" He sighed, "The snake smugglers! I already told you and they have their pet rattlesnake with them." At this point I broke into laughter and he woke up. He's a federal officer with the fish and wildlife service, so he's been known to have to deal with snakes and smuggling, etc. But what a conversation that was! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

My first (ha! but not last!) experience with dh and sleeptalking was on our honeymoon. He woke up - or so I thought - and started demanding to know where our groomsmen had gone.<br><br>
Him: Where is everyone?<br><br>
Me: uh...who?<br><br>
Him with shades of "well-duh" : You know, N, B and K. Where'd they go?<br><br>
Me: Honey, they all went home after the wedding.<br><br>
Him: Well, that was just rude! They're supposed to be here!<br><br>
Me: WHAT?<br><br>
Him: I can't believe they just left! They knew they were supposed to be here!<br><br>
Me: WHAT!?!?! On our honeymoon???<br><br>
This continued with him getting more frustrated by the moment, until I finally was laughing so hard I am amazed he didn't wake up. Finally, me: What exactly is it you want all of your groomsmen to be here to witness...on our HONEYMOON....in Arizona??? (Grand Canyon)<br><br>
Him, muzzily, finally waking up: Huh, what are you talking about?<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/shrug.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="shrug">

The other week Dh told me that we were all buried. I asked him with what, and he said that we were buried in dirt.<br><br>
Last night I asked him if he closed the garage door and he told me "Yes, it is under Home Fries"<br>
He used to work at Blockbuster so I think he was dreaming about his old job.<br><br>
I have a conversation with dh in his sleep at least once a week. It's great fun.

A few weeks ago, BF woke me up saying "The tacos will kill you! The tacos will kill you!" I knew he was sleeping, though. I thought it was hilarious since he ate Mexican that evening... yeah, those tacos can kill you. Pffft!

Earlier this week, DH suddenly screamed out "Mother F*&#%er" quite loudly at about 5am. We live in an apartment and hear our neighbors yelling all the time, so I just put my hand over his mouth until he woke up <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/redface.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Embarrassment"> It turns out he was dreaming that BIL was stealing a giant jar of quarters from us and was yelling at BIL to try to get him to stop. The funny thing is that DH is really quiet IRL and would never curse that loudly if he was actually awake.

Dh once informed me in his sleep that, "A toaster is not a very good electrical appliance." We had gotten a new toaster that day. Still cracks me up.

Great timing on this thread. DH rarely talks in his sleep, but I do it pretty regularly. Last night when he came to bed I told him, in my totally-asleep stupor, that he had poop on his forehead. I swear in my dream he had a smear of baby poop on his forehead! He asked me two or three times what I had said, and finally I woke up, stared straight at him, and said "oh, you DON'T have poop on your forehead. Nevermind." He started laughing and shaking his head, then told me to go back to sleep.

I once woke up to my ex digging his elbow in the side of my head, so I said "OW! What are you doing?!" And he said (eyes still closed) "You deserve it you bitch!" Apparantly he had some sort of nightmare in which I was having an affair, which is so typical of him and just one of the many many reasons he's my ex.
