Fuzbomb vs Fuz WIO shell

Which one would be better for just laying a joey bunz into? Also, what size would you get for a baby with a 15-16" waist, 10-11" thighs and a short rise? And finally snaps or aplix, do you have a preference and why?

TIA!

hey
here is my honest opinion. neither is great for just laying something in. but, since the WIO is a trimmer design it MIGHT work? i've never tried it, but the snap in contours are kinda laid in with 2 snaps at the back.

isabella is still in her small fuzbomb, on the tightest snaps, but the fit is getting funky. so, i'm sending it to lori to either have additional snaps placed or having it all changed over to aplix.

i'd have to recommend the small, but i think it depends on how fast your babe grows. i know that the mediums were big on alexandra at the age of 2, she was about 22 lbs or so, they still fit her very well, one side on the tightest snaps and one side on the middle snaps. she is probably around 27- 28 lbs now, she will be three in aug. i don't expect isabella to be in the medium until she is at least 2. they were the exact same size at their 1 yr mark.

Kristin~ The WIO and the Fuzbomb are essentially the same except for the gusset in the back (I have some pics of this if you want to see). The Bomb has a snugger fitting gusset. I think I would lean towards the Fuzbomb if I was going to lay something in it.

It definately sounds like your dd would fit in a small. There is quite a large difference between the small and the med ime, and I think you might be disappointed w/ how large the meds are.

I like Aplix on my Fuz covers. Lori puts the male side of the snaps on the front panel and the female ones on the wings (this is how it has been w/ all mine, not sure if she does every one like that). If the cover rolls in toward their belly, the male snaps poke them.
I also like the adjustability of Aplix better.

thanks you two.
she's not growing all that quickly. i think she's put on about 2-lbs or maybe 3-lbs in the last 8-mos. i guess i'll find out for sure at her 15-mos appt. now to decide what to get, fuzbomb or wio shell, chartreuse or tangerine? does the shell come with snaps for the contours? i have a snap press so i could make some snap-in instead of lay-in type soakers.

also, does anyone have a different trim, leak-proof wool cover they would recommend instead? dd is getting so wiggly, but i'm not wanting to totally give up on wool.

My little peanut Bret wore the smalls till he was about 2 yo I think. He can still fit in them, but the waist is getting too small.
If you can make contours, then you may like the WIO shell. They do come w/ snaps. I vote for tangerine

tangerine definately LOL. i think that righteous baby wool is trim, but side snapping. fuz easys are trim, but side snapping. fuz is the only front snapping wool that i own, so i'm not much help in this department. sorry.

Just my experience but I find the fit of the Fuz WIO totally different. I can't fit any small fireflies under it. Veronica(15#, 16" waist and 9 1/2" thighs) still wears smalls but I like the fit of the medium okay over her medium FF's. Definately go with Aplix. We had snaps and I was never able to get a good fit. I think the WIO would be great for it's intended use but not for wearing over any fitteds.

I hope that helped. We really do love our Fuz.
