"Gadgets and Gizmos" is the theme of my family's grab bag this year. What should I buy??? The dollar limit is $30 - $35. What is your favorite gadget or gizmo for under $35????

Thinkgeek http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/ is a great place for cool gadgets.

Sidenote: I don't know about it's value as a gift, per say, but any iteration of the annoy-a-tron ( this year there's a tree ornament called the Tannenbomb) is absolutely worth the $10-15.

Not crazy exciting (but as they get used a lot): belkin usb hub for the computer, dh's nosehair trimmers (ha ha), and our goodgrips salad spinner (great kid toy also!).

Wind-up flashlight (doesn't need batteries) - it's nice to know we won't be caught out in a power failure, even if we haven't changed batteries in awhile

Wind-up radio (ditto)

Mini-flashlight keychain - sooo handy in a million ways (including reading menus in dark restaurants, booklight when you're camping and you've forgotten to bring one, looking for stuff in dark corners in the garden shed (no lights in there), looking for dog poop on our nightly before-bed walk....)
