So, I'm studying for the NY and NJ bar exams right now, and I thought I had childcare all planned out. This week, I have a babysitter, then from Christmas Eve to Jan.2nd, my ds is with his dad, then from Jan 2-9 my cousin was supposed to come, and then a babysitter for a week before ds's daycare opened again (its in my school, and is closed for a month long winter break).

Well....now I can't seem to get my cousin to commit to when I should buy her train tickets for. I have a sinking feeling in my gut that she's leaving me SOL. I cannot, I just cannot lose that week of studying! It's not possible for me to get everything done that I need to get done if I don't have babysitting that week.

I have no idea what I'm going to do if she backs out. To make matters worse, if she doesn't let me know before Friday, I'm going to be seeing her, and I really don't think I can be civil towards her if she doesn't let me know before then so I can at least TRY to come up with something before the holidays.

AND - hiring a babysitter is SO expensive for me! It's going to be $800 for the 10 days I already have her, and another $450 for an additional 5 days. The babysitter is fabulous (she works in my ds's daycare, he loves her, I trust her - its the perfect situation really), but my ex isn't helping to pay her, which SUCKS, and I can't afford it. I'm so angry right now I could ring my cousins neck - and I'm spending x-mas with her!!!! How am I supposed to be nice to her for a week when I'm so pissed that she screwed me over??? GRRRRRRRR................
