My mother has been having gall bladder attacks for months now. I know that's what they are because she describes the attacks to me and it's exactly what I went through 2 years ago when I had my gall bladder out.

I told her today she was going to have to go to the doctor. She had 2 glasses of champagne (she NEVER drinks) and she had an attack. She said she wasn't going to go, because "then they'll want to take it out, and it's so close to Christmas!"

If anyone has any advice on things to take to help the pain subside, or to make gall stones go away, I would really appreciate it. I'm so annoyed with her for being so stubborn about going to the doctor.

Do a quick search in this forum, I know there are a couple of gall bladder/gallstone threads, one of which was posted by me.

There are oil flushes, Apple Cider Vinegar, and other things. But I have heard that the oil flushes can be hard and uncomfortable if not always recommended.

Off hand- The liver makes the bile and then is stored in the gall bladder. Vit c converts cholesterol into bile which is stored in the gall bladder.

I would consider some liver cleansing herbs to start with, but she should still see a doctor who knows her medical background. Personally, I would see a ND or a HD, I'm not too comfortable with allopathic practices.

http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art8171.asp
http://adam.about.com/reports/Gallst...er-disease.htm
http://www.herbs2000.com/disorders/gallstones.htm
http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/gallstones
