How much gas is normal? Is it always caused from something you eat? Don't formula fed kids get gas! Everyone is quick to blame me when I try hard to watch what I eat! (Really gets on my nerves!)

I breastfed my first son until 18 mos. but he never seemed to have that much gas unless while he was pooping and it never smelled. This baby seems to have gas throughout the day and sometimes it can be quite smelly.

if the gas doesn't bother the baby i wouldn't worry about it. my first was like yours -- bf for 18 mos. the new baby is gassy, stinky gas!! but usually it doesn't seem to bother her, so i don't worry about it.

yes! Formula fed babies get gas and it reeks!

My kids are/were BF and I supplement with formula. From what I understand the baby is going to have gas. If it isn't hurting him then try not to worry!
