Ok...so I have not been tested yet, but with my past 2 babes I have been GBS+ so I am expecting it this time. I need some NON medical real input from real mommas.....not the crud the Dr feeds you. I am hoping for this homebirth, and I know I will be GBS+ most likly. Does not testing seem irresponsible??? Does testing and knowing I am GBS+ and delivering at home seem irresponsible??? Neither of my babies has ever been sick, though I was treated with antibiotics with both. Both babies ended up with horrible yeast infections and green watery stool for a few weeks....cannot 100% say it was from the antibiotics, but who knows. I know the risks are so low that the baby will contract GBS, so I just would like input on how you all processed all of this if you were GBS+ or if you just thought about it JIC.<br>

I didn't have a homebirth(even though I would love one) but just wanted to let you know I tested ++ for GBS with my third child but I didnt my previous 2.. Anyways my labor went so fast they didnt have time for antibiotics and she was fine! I have read the chance is really low anyways, so I wouldn't worry to much about it! Just keep an eye on the little one when he/she arrives... Good Luck..
