Georgia mommas, can you give me some feedback on the PBS Salsa program. We are considering purchasing the set as our PBS station does not carry it. We did call/write to our local station, but as of yet no response.

Did you like it for preschooler age children? Is it like Dora and Diego?
Do you think the children learn a bit of spanish from the program?
Any other thoughts would be most appreciated. TIA

I would also like to know what this is. I got a note home from my kids Spanish teacher and she recommended they watch some Spanish show once a week to help their Spanish and Salsa was one of the programs she recommended.

oh wow! dh and i love it! hes learning spanish sio he loves anything thats all spanish. salsa is great b/c the whole program is in spanish. so they kind of focus on a few words but they use lots and lots of words. much more helpful than dora but targeted to the same general age. even older kids would probably enjoy it! (we keep meaning to tape it but the schedule has changed and it comes on at oddd hours in the middle of the night)
