I have a couple GD plants that have lived well and prosperous lives on my windowsil. But I am wondering if during the warm weather they could do well in a window box under a covered porch? Any input or experience?

These are my dh's favorite flowers. We're in zone 4 and plant ours in our garden every year. They always do great!!

hlr ~ do you just throw them in the ground or do I need to adjust the soil around them at all?

I planted some in not-so-great soil and they did very well for some reason!

We just threw them in.

They seemed to do best if they were in sun with dappled shade.

I have also heard that if you pinch off the dried blooms and plant them, they will grow new plants.
