How is everyone doing?

I'm 39 weeks and 2 days or so. Never been this pregnant--had DS1 at 38-6. I've stopped doing weekly "checks" on myself because I just stopped feeling the need and it's much more relaxing. I still listen to the HB with fetoscope late at night in bed for fun, but nothing else. I bought a digital scale to weigh baby (and me) finally, but I'm not sure how accurate it is. I have the same exact tile in my kitchen and bathroom, and I weight 155 in my kitchen and 177 in my bathroom (the 177 would be closer to accurate but if you're trying to lose weight, come stand in my kitchen!) I hope it works doing the difference-of-weights thing.

I'm not sure how big this little one's going to be. DS1 (at 38-6) was 8lbs 1oz... so there's no telling. I feel smaller, but I think my belly is just as big. I'm just shaped differently.

But around here everything is ready. The nesting is done, the supplies all in place, all but 2 baby things have arrived in the mail (waiting on a babyhawk and nekkie blankie). So come out, come out, now baby! We're ready!!!

*Trying to be zen and patient*

How's everyone else?

Hello! I'm 34 weeks 4 days and starting at 12:20AM (after dtd) I started having contractions. They increased in intensity and lasted about 1-2mins and were 5 minutes apart. I even felt like my water was leaking a little. By 1:30am I was finally able to get some sleep. I woke up with one cx around 4:20AM. Now I'm up with sporadic bhc and I think I'm slowly losing my mucus plug. We will see. The cx last night were so intense, like when I was in labor with DS.

28 weeks...about sick of the bathroom...I think I've memorized the tile placement on the floor...The baby is definitely feeling stronger and I'm definitely bigger. I wonder just how big I'm going to be at around 40 wks s

Still tired a lot, irritable, the usual complaints, but we're doing good overall.

i'm 37 weeks!

all is well, baby is head down again (we had a moment of turning there...) and def. engaged- i cant walk well. he is very active and strong. i checked my cervix just the other day when i was trying to feel his head-down-ness and it is seeming 'ready', which doesnt mean anything for my fourth baby.

i have gathered just about everything for the birth. we're pretty minimal- crampbark, angelica, rescue remedy, arnica. a pair of scissors, some cotton cord and towels. and i got my birth certificate forms in the mail. i am ready when he is!

21 weeks here...

Dd has a 'play' stethoscope - but still made out of the right 'parts,' not completely fake - and I was just playing with it the other day and managed to catch the baby's hb for about five seconds. I thought I was dreaming it at first but my mom was visiting and she could hear it too.

That is extent of monitoring that I have done this pregnancy.

33 weeks here. part of me feels really ready to have the baby, i'm tired of being pregnant. SPD seems to be getting worse. i can't believe that i have (only!) 4 more weeks until i am considered 'term'. i am making dh use condoms or pull-out until i am 37 weeks because last time dtd was what caused me to go into labor and i don't want to go early. i still need to get a few things for the birth and even though i'm anxious to be done i simultaneously don't feel ready quite yet. but i am feeling more confident in my desire to have a UC, and i feel really good about that.

Well I'm pregnant w/ #6 ... but only (wow did I say ONLY) 17 weeks ... I feel like it's going to be forever before I'm holding my babe, and yet I'm trying not to rush things along in my mind because this is likely our last and I want to cherish every moment.

I have had a fetoscope since my first UC in '03 ... haven't heard the heartbeat yet but haven't really tried ... it's a little early although with my 2nd UC I did hear it at 17 1/2 weeks so maybe i'll try to steal some quiet time and listen this week.

Lost my mucous plug last night after writing this blog entry, where I was venting and had written:

And no, I haven't lost my mucous plug, thanks. Do you want me to take a picture when I do?

I'm 38 weeks 3 days now. Any day now I will meet this baby!!! I'm trying hard to be patient, I'm not even to my EDD yet. I've been sleeping a lot and getting things more ready. A little bit of prodroming, and a lot of weird BMs.... I'm soooo : to meet this sweet soul.

I'm 29 weeks 2 days. I have my next m/w appt on Saturday, at 30 weeks even, and after I talk to her I'll order some birth supplies. I got a fishy pool but it's too small. I did get a "coming home" outfit (she'll be born at home, but I still want a cute outfit), and I look at it 10 times a day. I can't wait to put it on her!

Healthwise, I'm doing ok. I was very sick two weeks ago, ended up in the hospital with dehydration. This pregnancy has been so rough on me, I'm very glad it's our last one (that's the plan, anyway).

As far as I can tell, the baby is head down. She's very active, and that's very reassuring. I'm hopeful that she will be born at the beginning of September instead of the end, but I'm expecting an October baby so I will not be as disappointed. It would be a nice birthday gift for my dad (September 6th).

DD1 has decided that (in addition to being a superhero and a firefighter) she wants to be a midwife when she grows up. She's so fascinated with everything the m/w does at the appointments, and she loves getting to hold the doppler and listen to the heartbeat (for some reason the fetoscope doesn't want to pick up the heartbeat). She's so cute!

38 weeks and 1 day (or so) and GINORMOUS. Baby has decided it would be really fun to reside directly in my ribcage, thus making breathing an interesting endeavor at best.

I'm getting to "that point" in pregnancy where I'm soooooo ready to have a baby. Half because I'm excited about my body being more back to normal (not peeing every five seconds, being able to breathe, being able to sleep on my back, etc.) and half because I'm excited to give birth and have a little one again. Can't wait for nursing and babywearing!

Best wishes to all you beautiful, bloomin' mamas!

I haven't been great about keeping up with posting. Nearing 39 weeks here and I'm ready, oh, so ready to have this babe! Starting to get some nerves about our upcoming UC though. I'm not actually as ready as far as things for the birth being ready and organized as I should be though and at this point I really don't care too much.

Lost my plug a few weeks ago, lots of cramping, lots of contrax, but still waiting. Went through the same process with my 2nd that lasted about 3 weeks before she decided she was ready to come. Then she came fast and furious.

The hardest part is waiting and feeling so impatient. It's really difficult to take my mind off of it and the waiting with feeling so icky all the time as a constant reminder. I'm not feeling like doing much and time is creeping by.

Last night DH had to point out that he too is so ready to hold a baby. Don't I know!! The only one not quite ready is the star herself. I just keep telling myself, won't be long.

Just about 20wks here. Half way! :

My mom is still trying to scare me into seeing an OB regularly and deliver in a hospital. She is trying to convince me that my placenta is NOT going to move off my cervix and if I don't deliver in a hospital I am going to die. Gotta love parents who worry too much about you. I just wish she would listen and trust me to make the right decision.
