We're not quite ready to TTC yet, but I was wondering about how dates are established: I keep very very very careful track of my fertility, so it's likely we'll know the exact date of conception. I normally ovulate on Day 13 and have 25-day cycles. Is there a way to predict a more accurate due date than the ones based on an "average" woman's body?

Look for due date calculators online that include ovulation date....I think the one on parentsplace might. That way you can include your ovulation date and figure your edd from there rather than first day of your lmp.

Thanks. I was under the impression, though, that the calculators assume you have a 28-day cycle, and that your pregnancy will be longer or shorter based on how long your cycle typically is. Do you know if this is true?

Well, I am unsure if calculators take into account your luteal period, but they will give you an accurate date from your ovulation date if you have a 14 day luteal period. So I guess I'm not really sure. Oh and I checked parentsplace and it's not the one that asks o date. Checked babycenter and they ask first day of lmp and cycle length. Fertility Friend is telling me that if I were pg right now, I'd be due May 24 but Babycenter told me May 21. What I did last time I conceived was simply tell the midwife when I was due!! I say go with the latest date you can come up with to postpone any talk of induction if you are "overdue".

ETA I just found a great one that asks for lmp, cycle length, and luteal length and it concurs with Fertility Friend....I would say this would be the most accurate! Due Date Calculator
