My DS bought a little cactus at a flower store a few months ago.
So far we have kept it alive and healthy-looking, but I am wondering how to "make" it bloom- if that's possible.

I don't know what kind of cactus it is... Just the typical round green kind

, that should get a red flower on the top.

Any ideas?

water it every now and then. beyond that, i dunno. mine seem to thrive on being abused and ignored - beautiful pink flowers.

I'm not an expert by any means. What I've found from the cacti & succulents we have is that they need good drainage & they tend to bloom once a year--often in the winter or early spring. It may be that the only thing you need to do is wait patiently.
