My husband, myself, and 4 month old dd will be heading to South Africa next week.<br>
Any tips for traveling with babies??<br>
I'm happy i'm breastfeeding as we won't have to faf about with food or formula.<br>
I'm hoping she doesn't pick any sickness up on the plan (due to the stale air)<br>
She's not vaxed.

18 hours! Woo! I've only done shorter trips (like 3 hours per leg) with DS#1, and the only out-of-country trip was to Canada (from the US), so not that much out of country. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> One recommendation is to get seats near the engine. The sound lulls them to sleep. And luckily, 4 months old is probably one of the better ages to fly. It's when they get 2+ that they're more difficult. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/wink1.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="wink1"><br><br>

I suggest to ask for bulkhead seat and ask for skycot...Call 48 hours in advance...
