I am having trouble with scaley bugs(those white puff things) on my sunflowers. I have read the best remedy is to remove them by hand. Well, I have been doing that but they seem to be coming back in larger and larger numbers( their favorite bible verse is be fruitful and multiply!)
I have also sprayed with a pest mixture I make(soap, hotsauce, and garlic oil) but have also read that keeping the leaves from being damp also helps to eliminate the problem.
Also removing the infected leaves is not an option since they are on all the leaves!
Would dusting the leaves with diatomaceous earth help or would that harm the leaves?
