Hi mamas <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>
I have a lovely white linen dress that I would really like to salvage, but the material has yellowed over the years. Does anyone know if there is any way to remove this?<br><br>
Thanks!

Hi,<br><br>
I am pretty sure that sunning should do the trick. I wil go and look in my "Talking Dirty Laundry with the Queen of Clean" as soon as ds wakes up <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>

Not sure you want to use chems, but we had our family christening gown dry cleaned in hopes it could be saved- it was very yellowed after 25 yrs. It did the trick- satin, lace, the sweater all come back white.

Thanks very much for your suggestions! I'll try the sunning first and, if it doesn't work, go the drycleaning route <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">.
