Oh dear Lord, somebody get the duct tape and horse tranquilizers, ds is driving me and dh INSANE.
Of course my mainstream dh, who researches nothing but computer stuff and barely pays attention when I tell him about biomed stuff, says he doesn't remember me saying ds would get worse before he got better with the enzymes. "I don't think they're helping" he says. I remind him that I told him (and showed him, in writing), that they get worse before they get better most of the time. Ds is just a tantruming, screaming, stimming little ball of angry energy.

Sigh.

I need a drink.

just a
mama. we haven't tried enzymes yet but my ds was totally off the walls the first week we took casein out of his diet. And I'm pretty sure I did have a drink one night after we put him to bed

I hope that he moves quickly through the "burn off-ish" stage that so many of these kiddos seem to go through and you see an improvement soon. I know it can be so tiring!

If it helps at all, I've read a lot of anecdotal evidence that if you do see an initial regression it's probably a good sign and means you're on the right track. I hope this turns out to be the case for you and you'll see some improvement soon!

That does help and thank you.

Thank you all. Sigh. It does help to talk to mamas who know exactly what I'm going through. Tequilla shots, anyone?

It's probably the high proteases.

In fact, when I started Peptizyde myself, I drove myself into a squirming ball of anxiety, it was not fun. Had to pull them for a week and start again verrrrrry slowly. Now I'm so used to them I take several between meals.

My DS still cannot handle even a sprinkle. He even had some issues starting a full capsule of Zyme Prime.

It has to do with breaking down amino acids. See here:
