Hi everyone!

A while back I posted about visiting Seattle and where to go...thanks for your suggestions!

And now I would like to ask another favor... I am trying to come up with a nice pressie for my cousins 3 y/olds. I thought zoo membership...but I called and they already have one!

Do you all have any other ideas about cool places for kids to go, even if it is just a one-off visit? Or a unique gift?

Thanks much for your thoughts!!! Paige

We just bought a membership to Imagine Chilren's Museum which is located in Everett. DD loves it there! (We're on the north/eastside and Everett is north of Seattle). They have a lot of cool stuff there. The rooftop exhibit is really great (we made it there on the 3rd visit) - and will be good for DD when she's a lot older too. We've been there 5 times now and she finally let me take her to the basement where they have an art studio and a constuction studio which is really fun, too. Here's a link. http://www.imaginecm.org/

Dependind upon where they live, they might enjoy something like that. There is also a Seattle Children's Museum at or near Seattle Center (near the Space Needle). I personally haven't been to this one yet, though I have a friend with twins who belongs and they really like it.

And there is another new children's museum in the Factoria area of Bellevue (right off of I-90 at the Factoria Mall). I don't remember the name of that one, but it's really cool and has stuff for all ages, plus a neat water-play-science exhibit. They also had a large area for younger kiddos to play and a really interesting "how things work" type of area. Also a construction area.

The Seattle Aquarium downtown is also a whole ton of fun. We love it, esp. in the winter (not sure why, it's still cold for much of it). We have a joint zoo/aquarium membership and go to both all the time.

Love the Children's Museum too.

I actually didn't like the museum in factory. It is always crowded and the big kids were running around unsupervised and the employees wouldn't do anything about it. I much prefer the one in seattle or the science center.

You can tack on the aquarium membership to their zoo membership. It cost an additional $55, I believe. Everett Children's Musuem is way better than the downtown one, but they not want to drive up that far north. If they're in Seattle I would buy the Pacific Science center membership.
