Anyone have gift ideas for my midwives and my friend who took care of J during labour, helped during my pregnancy, is helping us a lot now, cleaned up the bloody massacre in the bathroom, etc?
hmmmmm.
Now you have made me think maybe I need gifts too!
How about movie passes, bath salts, candles, good labor cds to use at other births, Starbucks gift cards, chocolates, ok I am out of ideas.
I like the candle idea, I bought my midwife and back-up midwife really nice scented candles, and a teeny box of chocolate.
I also bought my midwife a DVD and CD of Tenacious D...she is a huge Jack Black fan, but had never heard of Tenacious D...it's a little hard to explain who/what Tenacious D is, but here's what wikipedia says: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenacious_D
yeah, we love them too...but you could see how they would be a little hard to explain to the non-believers
it seems like an odd present for my midwife, but I want to get her something she'll like, and really, she loves Jack Black but has never seen TD...seems like I'll be opening a whole new world for her!
stationery, incense, a goddess figure, massage gift cert (they can get worn out, too!), photo of her with baby (if you're close, or she has some on display already).
