Todays episode, I just finished watching had a segment on the new WHO recomendations. They had a panel discusion, 2 women one mom, one public health rep and one man a dad plus Gill. The women were all against circ and the man was pro (although his wife had prevailed and his sons were intact).<br><br>
Did anyone else see it? It was a little light, and i wish someone had talked anout how ultametly it's the boys body and it should be his choice but I liked that they mentioned that telling boys that being circed lowers their risk of Hiv gives them a false sence of security that could do more harm than good.

Interesting how one of the comments on the segment was about how bitter the pro-circ mom felt because her doctor (opposed to circ) gave her stats on the complication rates of the procedure "that were so untrue!". How would she know? It seemed so odd that a mom would feel the doc was manipulating her NOT to circ. Uh, hello - the doc isn't going to make any $ "manipulating" anyone with the truth of circ - why would they go to the trouble to LIE (in opposition to docs who LIE to get to do it!). Makes no sense.

Yeah, and her youngest son is intact because the doctors were against doing it (she obviously must be from Canada).<br><br>
And she's so upset about that.<br><br>
That poor boy, who knows what it will be like for him. You gotta hope that the doctors made sure she knew proper care.<br><br>
Uugh, need to stay away from comments. I was hoping to see the show,I can handle that... but the typical comments drive me nutty.<br><br>
