I am wondering if anyone has any experience with growing Gingko indoors? I live in a Zone 2... so I am pretty limited to hardy plants. I fell in love with a Ginkgo plant in a public garden, so I have decided to try and keep one indoors.

There are male and female ginkgos. The females carry seeds, that
a) have poisonous cover
b) stink
c) are nutritious once the cover is removed

It takes several years before one can distinguish female and male trees.

There are ginkgo bonsai trees. But even those I have seen mostly on porches.
