My 11 yr old dd has started getting a little breast budding on on ly one side. this has been slowly develping over some time. There is nothing visable on the other side yet have any of you seen this before.<br>

Amy, it's completely normal. Your dd will get her other breast bud soon. Same thing happened to my DD. I believe it was a year after she got the first one. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up">

My 11 yr old had significant swelling on one side- the other eventually kicked in. I sent her to some sweet kids sites on puberty. I'm traveling and don't have the website right now...make sure and let her know it is fine, it's pretty strange for our little girls.

very normal for girls to develop on one side first, and also normal to end up with different sizes (like how many of us grown women? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">)<br>
By the way, it's normal for boys to have a little breast development, often only on one side too as they hit puberty - it's just reactive to the hormones and usually recedes in time. It freaks my teen boy clients out, though.

Totally normal. I remember stuffing one side of my bralette with kleenex because I was so afraid everyone would notice.
