Goats milk in the Keys?

291 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  alamama
Hello everyone,

I have recently stopped BF due to medications for severe RA... I am interested in finding some goats milk for dd (she is 13 months). Does anyone know of any places in the keys (specifically the Key West area) that I could get goats milk? Driving the 3 hour trip up to Miami just isn't a possibility for me right now...

Thanks in advance for any info!

Hi there, Publix sells goats milk, at least in Key Largo and Marthon. Also have you tried Sugar Apples??
I'm not sure what you have in mind, but I'd definitely recommend locating a source for fresh goat milk, which will taste better and be more nutritious than the pasteurized stuff sold in stores. If you go to www.realmilk.com, you'll find a list of options for FL. If none are in your area, then contact the closest goat milk producer. They may be able to refer you to someone closer, as goat circles tend to be a small world
. The American Dairy Goat Association publishes an annual directory that will also list members in your area.

HTH,
Leanne
