paper towels
toilet paper
hamburger meat
wipes
laundry detergent
dishwashing detergent
shampoo and conditioner

any other ideas? i just dont want our monthly grocery bill to get out of hand and those are items that always seem to make it grow

I would look into getting some "easy" foods, if you haven't already, or if you like them. Sam's usually has good deals on the individual pizzas, chicken sandwiches, stuff like that.

I need to borrow my friend's card and get over there myself.

paper plates/bowls/cups and plastic utensils. biggest package they have
: Then there's no worrying about dishes for a few weeks. Wasteful, I know. I justify it by thinking of all the diapers I'm NOT putting in the landfill.

Yes! I am usually very anti paper products but I did buy some plates/cups/utensils for the week of birth. I have no problem running the dishwasher every day but its really annoying when you run out of silverware or plates and there isn't enough to start a load.

Other things I'm stocking:

peanut butter
natural jelly
bread
coffee
coffee filters
juice boxes
plastic baggies (making snack packs for the toddler)

I'll think of more later.

: Thanks!

I'm also making up a bunch of PBJ's and a double batch of waffles to throw in the freezer for quick breakfasts. (The hint with the pbj is to spread both pieces of bread to the very edges with PB and then smear on the jelly, keeps it from getting soggy.) I'll just take one out the night before. I hate juggling breakfasttime.

I so need a waffle iron. The cost of (inferior) gf waffles kills me.
