Has anyone ever heard of someone passing golf ball size lumps of yeast from intestines? My friend had this happen and is wondering what she should do.

She does not know for sure. She thinks maybe that is yeast because she has problems with yeast.

This is definitely TMI, but...I go through periods of time during which I pass large globs of mucous. I can definitely see where it would look like yeast, but I've been scoped up and down (literally!) and I know I've got mucous inside...it's apparently a result of IBS for me because enough samples have been taken from my intestines to know I do not have celiac, Chron's or another similar bowel disease.

I agree with teachma. If the balls are that large (and more likely pus/mucus) then she has something going on, such as Crohns or IBS or IBD.

I'm not huge on the medical establishment, but I do think this is one time where visiting the doctor may be a good idea.
