I'm relatively new to CD, using a diaper service for 5 weeks or so now, and am finding that the prefolds don't work for us. DS hates getting his diaper changed (always flips over in the middle, and screams and cries if I try to put him on his back again), so I'm thinking of getting all fitteds or pocket diapers or AIOs, but the prices are putting me off. What are some more affordable of these types of diapers? I really don't want to have to go back to sposies full time, but it's so much easier to diaper him on his belly (or with him standing, holding onto something) with them.
Thanks everyone for your support and info.

I'm relatively new to diapering (just over 2 weeks), and I've found that the fuzzi bunz are GREAT for my dd. We have 2 and we use them at night. She's a heavy wetter (15mo) and we haven't had a leak yet.

Do you snappi/pin the prefolds or do you fold them into a cover? I haven't had luck with snappi-ing, I just trifold my CPFs and lay them in the bumpkins covers - I find that works great.

I've heard a lot of women rave about happy heineys (they're pocket dipes) - we're going to try a couple when I'm allowed to buy diapers again!

You could also try a sample pack of different options. Here are three websites where I've had great service/great sample packs:

http://babiesinthesun.com/
http://store.naturalbabies.com/products/
http://www.diaperware.com/index.html

I have a bunch more that folks have mentioned on these pages - but I have actually ordered from these ladies.

You'll find a lot of helpful suggestions on this web site. It's been a life-saver for me.

Good Luck!

For pocket diapers, I would recommend Happy Heinys over Fuzzi Bunz -- the velcro is much easier. www.mamaessentials.com has free shipping.

As for AIOs, Little Lambs makes some that are around $10 and work well. www.cutest-cloth-diapers.com

I like my Sugar Peas fitteds the best, but they're a little pricier. The advantage would be that because they're a two-size system, you would save money because you would have to buy fewer sizes. www.sugarpeas.com

I would also check the Trading Post for good deals.
