I just got the brochure in the mail for the DONA conference in August. It looks pretty good (though I'm suprised that there's still hardly anything about it on their website).

Are there any other good conferences I should consider? I'm just planning to go to one this year.

Trust Birth Conference is amazing, to say the least. The next one is April 2012, most likely in Tennessee.

Trust birth was great, I have really enjoyed the Midwifery Today conferences as well. They are always spring though, April. They just had one over that way on the east coast, in 2011 it will be in Eugene, OR. They alternate east and west each year, and have one international each year.

I attended the last Midwifery Today conference (last month in Philly). It was amazing! (And I was only there for the first two pre-conference days!) I am seriously considering going next year to Portland even though it means taking a 5 month old along. It was SO good.

New Mexico looks absolutely fantastic, I wish i could afford to go!
it's in a resort type place, they booked the whole place for the conference!

I went for the first time last year to the DONA conference it was more fun then I expected, I was by myself and surprised how much i liked it. The energy of 300 doulas is powerful.

I always go to the LLL Professional lactation conferences in the fall. They always have great people speaking and in NY state.

I'm hoping to make it to one of the Christian Midwive's International (CMI) conferences in a couple years.
