Mamas, I just can't get over the generousity and the outpouring of love for these 2 families. I beat out some wonderful giving mamas with the biggest hearts ever!
I feel honored and priviledged to be a part of these boards.
Every time I think of these sweet precious babies, my heart aches for their mamas. {tears} I will continue to keep these little ones in my prayers and in my heart.
Somebody help me here!
I just didn't think I would win.
I knew what I wanted to give to Levi and Samuel, but I was sure I would be outbid. Holy cow!!!
What should I get! What should I get! Any ideas?!
Awww...congratulations Mama! You are so awesome to be helping out for such a great cause! I think longies for the fall/winter sound like a great idea!
I swear, half the fun is planning what you are going to get!
Everyone is doing soooooooo much! I wish money could buy anything...it helps, I know...but let's just keep praying for these families 'cause that can do more than money ever could.
Karen's wonderfully generous auction is for a soaker, not longies.
So, I think I will go with, maybe fall colors...I just can't think of what to put on them.
I say oranges and browns (verigated) with maybe a fall leaf or a pumpkin on the back.
OR...
what I was going to do (since it is for Levi) is soft "pure" colors (whites, light blues, light yellows) with some sort of an angel design on the back
I was going to say leaves too, but I like the pumpkin idea better. My other thought was getting a little cancer ribbon on it. Isn't leukemia cancer too?
Karen's wonderfully generous auction is for a soaker, not longies.
If anybody is in the market for longies, The Cushie Tushie has a couple of YPA benefit auctions ending in the next few hours. They are barely above retail right now. If I was going to have money in the next five days I would definitely be there!!!
I won a KIYP soaker auction for Samuel right when he was first diagnosed. I still don't have it yet, but what we decided on is a periwinkle colored soaker (my dh's little sister was cured of childhood leukemia by a drug made from periwinkles) with a train on it (my ds loves trains). The "logo" for the train line will be the leukemia blood drop symbol.
I'm really excited to see it all finished.
So you might consider working either the boys' initials into the soaker, symbols that are meaningful (like a duck for Samuel, since he loves duckies), the blood drop emblem or the cancer ribbon. Anything that is meaningful to you... just some thoughts!
Congrats mama! I'm so touched by all these generous mamas out there!!!
Congratulations on your win! That is an awesome gift you have given, and I have no idea on what you should get, but have fun deciding! Fall colors is a good idea.
