Anyone in the Little Rock area have a ped that they just love and want to share?

I'd love one that is flexible with vacs schedules, comfortable with extended bf'ing, all that good stuff.

Thanks!

Good luck finding one! The "group" that we use vary widely from visit to visit and just about all of them freaked when they found out my 14 mo hadn't been fully vaxed. Iffy on breastfeeding and about flipped when I slipped that I co-slept. From the group of Mamas I know, I'm just gonna have to wish you luck...seriously.

Hi! I have a wonderful ped, but she is in Sherwood, if you are okay with making the short drive North. It's worth it to us. Her name is Dr. Jane Miers, and she is with Sherwood Family Clinic (on Kiehl Ave.)
She is very supportive of extended BF, co-sleeping, , homebirth, and her overall philosophy is *You're the parent...I'll give you information and you make the decisions*

On vax, (or rather not vaxing) she wasn't as supportive (but didn't kick you out either, which I've heard happens around here), but we decided to vax so wasn't a sticking point for us.
Good luck in your quest!
I give Dr. Miers many

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and wanted to say hello. I live in Cabot, AR. I am married and have 2 girls, Gabi 5 and Savannah 19 months. I'm a stay-at-home mom right now.
We see Dr. Choate at the North Little Rock Pediatric Clinic. I'm not sure if he is accepting any new patients though.

Dr. Choate is good too. He saw Tanner while we were in the hospital. Apparently the docs in his clinic and the Sherwood clinic share hospital round rotation. I loved his bedside manner, but I don't know anything about his philosophies, etc.

Hey! I know both those ped's!!!

Sadly, most Ped's around LR do not support not vaxing. But mine has been supportive of everything else!

My issue is with the wait time at big practices! We see a ped group in the Doctor's Building and wait HOURS sometimes. I would love to find a small practice or a family dr. that could deal w/ dd's special needs (dds seem to have odd stuff like scarlet fever instead of plain old strep LOL plus big dd's special needs) and had no wait time!
