any referrals? my liberian friend here in the states needs to call her family in sierra leone. she likes the 'african dream' phone card but i can't find them around here (utah). i'm wondering about online sources for phone cards. we got one a month ago but it didn't give us anywhere near the number of minutes we paid for. i'm hoping someone can give me a reputable referral.

thanks!

We have used Global Phone to make calls to Ethiopia. I don't know how the prices compare, but $30-something for about an hour of talking looks darn good to us. :LOL

We've found them fairly easy to deal with, too. They email our bill invoice to us, and are always helpful when there's an issue.

Well, I have been buying calling cards for almost 3 years now at www.cloncom.com
I buy one to call long distance and I get 1000 minutes for $10 within USA and I call Czech Republic very offten and $10 card gives me about 4 hours.

I typed in Sierra Leone and the best rate they have was 14.1 cents/minute, with no connection fee. You wanna buy a calling card that does not have a connection fee!

Anyway, here is the link to the calling cards to Sierra Leone:

First time custemers have to sign up first and wait for a call from cloncom.com for confirm that all the information you have given them are really yours. After that you can buy calling card at any time and you get your pin numbers instantly in your e-mail or you can check them out on their website in your account.

I really reccomend that website as I have good experience with it.

We use telphonic for our long distance to Botswana. I don't know if they have calling cards, but the most we have paid is $28 for over two hours (plus local long distance). The best deal we have ever gotten-- better than the defunct bigzoo.com.
