My 7 year old has been begging me for a sewing machine for about a year now...however, I do not sew and I have no idea if she could handle it and if she could what to buy!?
Any suggestions? Advice?

Perhaps you could try ebay. I think that you get battery operated ones for kids pretty cheap. I don't know how good they are, but they look cute! And if she still shows interest in sewing later one, you could buy something that both you and she could use.

It is rather small but works like a full size sewing machine without all the fancy stitches, etc. I started my daughter out on this machine and she got the hang of it in no time. She is 11 and now has a full size machine exactly like mommy's LOL... same EXACT machine LMAO... and she does great work! Scrunchies, purses, clothes, blankets, etc... so see if you might find one of those for your lil'one... it ran me about $20 at the time... good luck!
