this is sort of off-topic:
My dd's (5 month old today. yay!) poop looks gooey in the evening time. Usually she just poops little bit in the evening, and they usually contain clear jelly like stuff.
Per ped told us once that it's only cause for concern if it's red or black jelly. But what is it? and what causes it? he sort of changed the subject at that question.
She's been having it on and off since about 2.5 month.
anyone have any clue? Something in my diet?

My dd has had this before and I have no idea what it was or what caused it! :

COULD it be drool? Would that go right through? I would think it'll be absorbed and come out as pee..
She has been drooling a lot probably due to teething.

Hmmmm on the drool thing. I think I remember it happening during teething time (although I will have to say that things area a bit of a blur from that sleep deprived state), so it might be caused by drool...but it was really gelatinous (ew). It was obviously not just the drool coming right through... I wonder why drool would cause that???

I think I remember reading something about drool and poop at one point, which is why I mentioned it, but I actually don't know either if drool does that or if it would be more of a pee thing, or have no effect at all.
