I am officially addicted. I just got my first set of kissaluvs size 0 (6) and two covers--both Scatinator's. One is wool the other is fleece. All off of ebay. I'm so stoked! They are dreamy.

Kissaluvs are awesome...I just ordered some myself, and can't wait to get them. I have been trying to decide what to order next. I got a baby softwrap, first class baby, poochies, and have been making some myself. I need to get some covers next I guess!

Hi e/o!

I'm a ftm and want to do the cloth diapering thing. How do you know what kind to get? I've seen so many options online. I know I want fitted instead of cpf's, but does anyone have experience with these that can tell me what they really like? Also, how many diapers are you guys buying to get started? How many covers, etc?

Help!

Monica - my friend's daughter is Febe. I have never seen it spelled that way besides her daughter!

Check out www.diaperware.com She has tons of packages and is extremely helpful. I would try the "big 8" package if you can afford it since there's a TON of stuff and you get to try a variety. Everybody likes something different. Check out the CD forums here, too.

I got some colour sz. 0's off the TP and they are sure cute. But for cuteness I haven't found anything better than www.theposiepatch.com newborn dipes and covers...! Very very sweet.

I've gotten a purple wool soaker, a Bitty Bums AIO, a fleece overnight cover,a winter themed soaker, and a pair of green wool longies! And, I have a set of used Kissaluvs sz 0 coming in the mail and a diaper registry all set up! I'm so excited.

Now someone come and take my credit card away before I order a custom pair of wool longies...

okay, i've got a dozen kissaluvs (thank you, tp!), a few assorted fitteds, lots of wool, and 2 wonderoos. i think i've decided that i'm going to try prefolds for the bulk of the stash, though--probably dyed ones, yum--and just got my first dozen of those, too! they make me really happy for some reason. AND...have you guys read much about EC? i'm sort of fascinated, and thinking about giving it a shot. (if you have no idea what i'm talking about, check out the EC forum under diapering here).

Thanks, Canadiyank!! I didn't even realize there was a CD forum here. I've never explored much, other than the pregnancy links. I can't take credit for Febe's spelling. We got her from Best Friend's Animal Sanctuary and she came with the name.

I got a dozen kissaluvs size 0's and they are so cute! The colored contoured ones. I think I'm going to go with Nikky's for covers. I couldn't find a review for them on the CD forum. Has anyone heard anything or tried them?

I kwym about the dipes making you happy. I got mine yesterday and was grinning for the rest of the day!

My friend is Filipino and Febe was her aunt's name, apparently it's a Filipino spelling.

Yeah, I cut my CD-ing teeth on the CD forum here. I haven't been buying them lately since dd's in training pants, but it's been fun to check in again - there's so many new WAHMs I've never even heard of!

Are you looking for a review for the contours or the Nikkys?

I'll have to tell my DF about Febe's Filipino heritage.

I'm looking for a review of the Nikkys. They look like they would be an easy, healthy cover, but I haven't ordered any yet.

I've never used the Nikkys, but my personal faves as far as PUL covers are the MotherEase Air Flow ones. Not sure if those would work with the contours, though, since you'd probably need a wrap to keep them tight, unless you use pins/snappi. I like diaperaps, too, they are very easy to use.

Okay, diaperware was a great suggestion! I got one of the packages, and can't wait for it to arrive. I also had to get one of the velour flower print cuddelbuns, because it was sooo cute!

I think I'm going to give the Nikky's a shot, going off of gut instinct. Once I get those I should be all set for newborn / small dipes. Now I just need *everything* else!
