Okay...Basically I want to be able to wash my hair less!
I have to wash it everyday!!!...Its long as well..and blonde, so very thin. A pain really.
But I can't just not wash it because I have such a greasy head! By morning it looks like someone dipped me in olive oil. So, whilst the rest of my hair is fine and clean, I have to wash it because the top of it is not - its unsightly.

I know they make some shampoos that are designed to help cut down on the greasyness of ones head. I know neutrogena make one. I realise, being in the UK, that our brands might be different - but we can start with the neutrogena one - does it work? How do you find it? Can you recommend something/anything else that you have tried that works? If its a brand, ill have a look to see if the have it in this country!
Any ideas or info you have would help greatly! - Ill give them all a try as best I can! hehe
Thank you!

Check out these forums: http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/...isplay.php?f=4 I learned SO much and totally changed my routine. I used to have to wash every day or every other day, now I wash once a week at the most. You can find lots of ideas and recipes there, ask questions, and also you could try just a scalp wash (I do those sometimes to protect the length from over-washing).

I tend to have oily hair as well, and I find that if I shampoo it twice when I wash it, I can go longer between washes. HTH!

I also have long blond hair that would need washed every day. I would be able to do every other in the winter sometimes. But this summer I started washing with a baking soda solution and conditioning with apple cider vinegar and it has completely changed my hair. Now I wash every 2-3 days, and when I let it go too long between washes, the oiliness is completely different than it used to be--my hair doesn't get gross, just a little heavier and less manageable. Shampooing overwashes and strips you hair's natural oils,so your scalp overcompensates and gets greasy. But if you find your hair's natural balance that won't happen anymore. Once I started, it took a couple weeks for my hair and scalp to get used to it and my hair was pretty funky. But patience paid off and I love how simple it is to keep my hair clean now! Search for no-poo here and on google and you'll find tons of info.
