My favorite bits:

Quote:
Should I take a painful hour to stretch my chest out to Seuss lengths with a breast pump because someone may freak out at a restaurant after staring at my chest long enough to figure out that I'm nursing my child?

No.

So you want breastfeeding to remain a private moment between the mother and child?

Then stop staring.
Reminds me of an anti-BF column where the author asked,"What am I supposed to do when I see a mom nursing".

I think a simple, "Thank you." will suffice. Thank you for preserving the environment, thank you for keeping my health insurance lower.

I wish she hadn't included that onerous, impossible-to-define statement about 'discretion', because I think it mucks up the issue (if it's not dirty then it's not dirty and no discretion required) and invites all sorts of unneccessary criticisms and placation, but overall a positive.

Thanks for pointing it out, it's good to know we have media on our side.

The women who say "when men see a breast all they see is a breast," are incredibly insulting to guys - they make it sound as though men are barbarians incapable of complex thought and require a constant nanny in order to shield them from the wiles of the world. I feel bad for the mother quoted in the article as saying that she shredded the magazine so her 13-year-old son wouldn't see it. Instead of taking the time to educate her son on the way some women feed kids, she chose to stick her head up her backside. What a way to teach respect for females, mom!
I like this one.

I noticed it too, it's like if you're pro-nip you have to be pro-coverup.

I have to say I liked this article, but was suprprised because the author also wrote a pretty controversial column a while back on spanking and/or a smack on the hand kind of punishment (she was for it--even with her then-13-month-old).
