last year i bought a mop (rectangular head) for the sole purpose of cleaning my walls. it's not allowed to wash anything else (esp. my floors!!!) it works GREAT!!! i don't even mind washing all of the walls in my house when i spring-clean. it's so much easier then doing the walls with a rag by hand. just thought i'd share.

Don't forget the 2 buckets! One for the wash water and one to squeeze the dirty water into. Last months Do! magazine suggested the mop and to use rubbing alcohol to clean the walls before painting. He did advise good ventalation! I don't like to use that much alcohol due to the fumes tho.

I used to do the low lights thing so I wouldn't have to dust! My oldest has a dust mite allergy big time so now I HAVE to dust.

The mop works best IMO for doing ceilings <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up"><br><br>
We <b>DEEP</b> clean every time before a birth so every 2+ years our house gets scrubbed <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/biglaugh.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="laugh">:<br><br>
Though I have been doing some spring cleaning lately and I am not expecting just trying to get an organized clean home.

That's a great idea. I won;t do it, but I will think of it every time I wash the little finger prints off the walls <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

I had that thought, too. Who cleans their walls? How long can it take to wipe off the fingerprints around the doors? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/blush.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="blush">
