DD will be eight months on the fourteenth and eats solids occasionally, depending on her mood. One of her "favorites" (comparatively) is YoBaby yogurt. (Other solids she's has are sweet potato, squash, bananna, apple, avacado.) I bought some of the Greek Strained Yogurt (Fayeh Total or something like that) and it was awesome- I gave her a little taste on my fingertip and she loved it! I checked the label and it's just basic yogurt from milk with culture in it. Okay, it's not organic (which is what I strive for) but other than that, is it okay for her to eat a couple spoonfuls here and there when I have some?

I'm no kind of medical professional, but IMO, that stuff is fine for any baby you'd give other dairy to. As compared to YoBaby, it's higher fat (actually great for an 8 mo) and has wayyyy less sugar.

Just, if you get the kind with honey, don't let her have that. Plain or with fruit, a-okay, but no honey till she's older.

I don't see why not, my kids loved yoghurt at that age.

Edited: that baby stuff is mostly a marketing thing, I think. Baby food is something invented, babies don't need it. I know one company that sells the same applesauce in baby and adult versions. The baby one costs a dollar more.

Yep - if you're okay with babe having cow's milk in general, I think this is one of the best sources. If you like the Greek style (I do too), Stonyfield did just comeout with an organic Greek yogurt! I love both Fage and Stonyfield, but get the organic whenever I can.
