I. Need. Help. . .

We have two dogs and we are still working on housetraining the one so we definetly have to have something to clean messes on carpets. I also babysit so I like to keep my floor clean for the kids.
Is there something I can use for carpet stains? If not what is the most green carpet cleaner available in stores?
Thanks!

EDIT- As far as odors go, I have a spray bottle of vinegar and Lavender EOs that I occasionally spray on the carpets and couches so smell is not a issue. I just need something to get the actual stain out.

Hmm, we don't have a dog so I'm not sure if this will be strong enough but we use snow to clean our carpets (an old Canadian housewife trick).
If it's an area rug, take it outside and turn it upside down in the snow and let the kiddos stamp all over it as hard as they can. (it has to be the cold, fluffy kind of snow not the wet, mushy kind). Shake it really well and bring it in to dry. It will be sparkly clean!
If it's wall-to-wall carpet, apparently if you make a large snowball and rub it on the stains this is supposed to work in the same way.

peroxide also helps sometimes. we have two dogs and a baby and they all have unpleasant accidents on the carpet. it's so gross. i also gave birth to the baby on this carpet, and that did some minor damage. if it's a super bad stain, we pour peroxide on it and then scrub and scrub... also vinegar and baking soda work well too!

Charlie's Soap All Purpose Cleaner. If you're using a shampooer, use half as much as you would with regular cleaner. It can be sprayed on carpet and scrubbed as well. www.charliessoap.com

After you scrub/shampoo/whatever, sprinkle on baking soda, let the carpet dry, then vacuum up for odors...though I think you said odors aren't a problem. Oh, well. FYI.

This has worked for me on most stains.

I second the Charlie's Soap. I've been using it in my steam vac for 2 years and I can tell a big difference in how the carpet looks. I use their liquid soap and use half the amount that the steam vac asks you to measure out.
