She just got her top teeth -- well, the first bit of them. And she is doing this awful-sounding grind of the bottom two against the top. Either because it's a new sensation or maybe to itch the gums, I don't know. It's nails on a chalkboard to me... But what I don't know is if it is bad for her. It seems like it would be.

tottaly normal......i went through the same worry, 2mths later he doesnt do it anymore.

Oh gosh, I wanted to beat my head against something when he did it!! I was stuck in the back seat with him on a weekend trip for about 2 hours, when his top teeth were nubs, and he would grind and grind and grind, and when he slept he would grind. I thought I would go beserk!!

But he doesn't really do it anymore...

yep, we had the same thing. the sound drove me crazy.
but now at 3 yo, she has perfect teeth... so, i guess its no disaster!
