Any Navy (or other branch) families or other MDC/AP fams in the area
that wanna get together for play groups and who knows....maybe some swimming at the base pool?

Anybody that isn't military, we could pal around at some area parks.

We are living in the CBQ (base hotel) right now because we sold our house in Brooklyn, CT and we need to find folks to pal around with for the summer. I am not so gung-ho on just finding any old military families, you know how it is if you're on MDC and you're military, you kinda stand out in a crowd!!

So, my DS1 will be 3 at the end of July and my DS2 is 4.5 months. We are a militant lactivist family of nearly everything MDC-ish: homebirthing, babywearing, co-sleeping, CD/ECing, home(un)schooling, non-vaxing, non-circing, try-to-eat-well'rs.

Anybody wanna make friends? Huh? Do ya? Well...do ya?

I'm a military ap mama here in groton

We have a playgroup if you would like to join in. We meet Tuesdays @ sutton park 11-2 and Fridays @ the SOS chapel on gungywamp from 11-2. We have an email group as well but its asked that you attend one playgroup before joining. There are a few ap mamas on here and I think we are doing good exposing the other mamas to an "alternative" way of living & raising kiddos.

There is also thecrunchycrew @ yahoogroups and we meet every other Tuesday at Toby May park in New London from 10-?

And yes join friendly forest too ;o)

so every tuesday? where is sutton park, i would love to come tomorrow if it's on.
and at SOS is it inside or is there an area outside that i don't know about - have only been there twice when some of dh coworkers retired.
i can't join the email groups - i guess it has to do with netzero highspeed and the picture filter maybe,(?) but i can't ever see a word at the end of the sign up page where they ask you to type what you see. so if you or any of the others from these groups, that find this thread, would be so kind as to post meeting times and locations, we would LOVE to come play!!!
oh, and 5 kids and you STILL have time to use a computer? how do you do it? :LOL

Sutton Park is down Rt 12/ Rt 1 past the Groton Library & Dairy Queen (headed towards Mystic)
As long as there is no rain we will be at the park

SOS we are inside. If you park in the small lot right there on gungywamp & go thru the front double doors we are in the nursery/preschool room immediatly to your left across from the sign in window.
We all bring a lunch & eat outside on the lil playground. They used to let us eat in the room but they changed that recently.

When you can't see the letters for joining the groups there should be a link that says "click here if you can't see picture" that should help!
