Not sure if this should go here. But I wanted to see what you breastfeeding mamas thought of this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZB44Ea1A0k

Looks like their just poking fun, not meaning any harm. But still...

I'm nursing a toddler and I thought it was pretty funny, but maybe I just have a weakness for stupid comedies. I have no problem with 4 year olds bf-ing (and very well might end up bf-ing one myself), but I think that the kid in the movie being 4 rather than, say, between 12 and 24 months is what made it funny rather than mean spirited. At least in the little bit that the clip shows no one totally freaked out over a 4 year old NIP, they just seemed surprised, which I thought was kind of cool.

Actually the "48 months" bit is probably what made me laugh since I still sometimes refer to my daughter in terms of months when it would be way easier to just say "two and a half." I WISH that I could nurse my 2.5 year old in public with that much poise.

Edit: I just watched it again and caught that the one woman was covering her daughter's eyes which is annoying but not enough to stop me from seeing the movie. I also thought the comment about "and this must be your mother" "no she's my wife" pretty funny too and my husband is 24 years older than me, so I've actually gotten comments like that.

Yeah, I think its funny, too!!! I tend to like those type movies, though. The covering the girl's eyes is very stupid, but propably supposed to be. I believe the mother covering the girl's eyes was Selma Hayek (sp?) who bfed an africian baby while on a humanatarian trip a few years ago.
Thanks for the link

Yeah. pretty funny. My husband is 35 years older than me. We have a 7 year old son together and I breast fed until he was 3. Everyone thought there was three generations going on. Even funnier now. He is 66 and I am due in October. That should really keep people going for a bit.
