Today I found a growth on my cat's tongue.
It's toward the back of her tongue and I saw it when she yawned. She didn't let me examine it for long, but it seems discolored, and maybe the size of a quarter? Probably a bit bigger. Anyone have this happen to their cat? I'll be taking her into the vet as soon as possible, but he doesn't open until Mon. morning.

OK, so I'm spatially inept- but it IS large- it takes the back half of her tongue. And she has a big tongue. It actually looks somewhat like a tongue is growing on her tongue. It's orangish-red.

I'm calling the vet first thing in the morning, so we'll see.

Sorry-- well, the vet found some ulcers on her upper lip-I totally missed them.
: He's not sure, but the growth on the tongue may be the same thing--it's ulcers created by an allergic reaction. He gave a cortisone shot and anitbotic. We'll watch t see if it shrinks, if not, he'll take it off. Thanks for the concern! I'll let you know if it shrank or not.
