How long will this last?!?!?!?! DS is now 5 weeks old plus a few days and for the last 4-5 days has been nursing NON-STOP till my boobs are completely soft and empty and my nipples feel like they h ave been chewed on. I cant take it much longer. A few weeks ago he was nursing only once every 3 hours. I was commenting on how nice it was since DD was a snacker.

DS is a big boy, if that makes any difference. 9.12 at birth and he must be 13-14 pounds now - he was 12.1 a few weeks ago.

I wish I knew, we are in the same boat here. DD is nursing every 45 min to an hour all day long and napping in between. Luckily she sleeps longer at night (3-5 hrs) and gives my nipples a bit of a break. Surely it will only be another few days. And BOY is she cranky when she doesn't get to the boob quick enough!

Mine had growth spurts of about a week at that age. By day 7 I was getting a bit panicky, thinking it would never end.
