Talk me down! I have a doppler and we thought we heard two different heartbeats earlier this week-one between 118 and 140 and the other 160 and above. We always hear the fast heartbeat when we check, but its been three times now that we may have heard a slow one too. We're going UP, and we weren't going to get an u/s, but crap, now I want one because going back and forth, being convinced that there are two, then only hearing the fast beat the next time we listen is driving me crazy. My mom was a fraternal twin (no fert meds), I was bfing a lot when I got pg, I had a m/c the month before, its my 7th pregnancy, and I've felt myself ovulate dually in the past. So I have some "risk" factors for it. I'm just such an impatient person and I'm really struggling with this. I've been online all morning (dd work up an hour and a half early...) looking at everything I could find in our area to get a u/s, but the only thing aside from picking a doctor and going through their hoops is a fetal foto type place two hours away. Dumb. Why can't Jane Schmo just walk into the hospital and ask for one-and not the emergency room, I don't have insurance-I don't want to pay that much. Someone help me regain my sanity.

hhmmmm...well, theres a bunch of stuff im thinking, btu its all conjecture....i will say that if you do want the U/S, i would wait another 5 weeks, so you can find out the sex all in the same U/S instead of getting multiple ones.....

Did you try a crisis pregnancy center? They typically have one big one per city that will do a free ultrasound. It's not diagnostic (meaning they aren't looking for problems), but they will look around as long as you want and ooh and ahh with you.

It's the only place that I could get one done anywhere near here- we don't even have a quicky fun u/s place here. Even if I wanted to pay $450 out of pocket.

If you wait about 25 weeks I bet you'll find out without an ultrasound.

Hehe...I needed that.

I swear, sometimes these preggo hormones just get the best of me. I feel better now. I really want to go without. I just get all caught up in the moment sometimes.
