I have been sooooo grumpy the past week or so. My poor kids. I'm getting plenty of sleep. I'm eating pretty healthy. I could be getting more vigorous exercise - with a preschooler and two toddlers in tow I don't often get my nice, fast walks. I'm taking Vit D (ignoring what was in the news today about this being useless).

Seriously. I have been picking fights where normally I'd just sigh and let it pass. What is going on? Anyone else wearing grumpy pants lately?

I have had some seriously grumpy days, too! Today is one of them. Most of the day went okay, but we went to our new house to get some painting done. The kids were bickering, complaining, being super high-maintenance and DP was not being helpful at all. After stopping my painting every 2 minutes to resolve irritating conflicts, I finally ended up yelling at the kids to get their shoes on--if they're not on in 2 minutes you can walk through the snow barefoot!--grabbing the keys and storming out. lol I'm not usually such a reactive person, but chaos has been turning me evil. I notice that the slightest disorder makes me crazy, even if I don't realize right away that's why I'm so edgy. Poor family. I guess they better keep the bickering down and clean up their toys or else pay the price. lol It's true that if I'm not happy, nobody is happy around here!

I did just get the current issue of Mothering and they have a pretty goos article about handling your anger around your kids.

Totally grumpy and on edge lately..glad to hear I'm not the only one. It pains me that I am so short (especially with my little guy), but it's almost as if I have no control over the emotion *sigh*
