My daughter started grunting and almost growling when nursing during the past two weeks. She doesn't seem uncomfortable, almost like she just enjoys doing it. Does anyone else's baby do this?

My dd did this for a little while too. I think it was during a particularly intense teething time. She will sometimes put her fingers in her mouth and "hummm" or growl, blow raspberries. I think the vibrations were soothing to her gums. Strange but possibly true.

YES!!!! Avery does that! When she nurses DH says: "The rabid wolf is at it again!"

Mine hummed sometimes as a little baby. Now, as a 17 month old, she likes to practise nodding her head "yes", and shaking it "no" while nursing. Looks like she's a cat trying to subdue a mouse.
