Has any one had any issues with their LO being really "grunty
in the kangaroo carry in a pouch? So far my DS who is 3 months has preferred my MW since he hated being "cradled." Well now that his head control is better, I am trying to get him more used to my hostsling. I had a friend who teaches baby wearing evaluate my size and how he fit in it and she said it looked perfect. Well today I am trying to wear him in it and he is quite grunty in it---and even making some weird breathing/grunty noises as he sleeps in it. It is not constant --not anymore at least. When I first put him in it--it was constant. Now it seems to be every few minutes--do you think its him getting used to it? Is this normal or am I doing some thing wrong?
BTW--he is about 14-15lbs...not sure if that matters or not.

OK, grunty is definitely not good! That means breathing issues. When you say kangaroo, do you mean with his legs tucked up in front of him facing forward? I would try a sitting up position sideways to you with legs spread out or a tummy to tummy position facing you with his legs out (and the fabric well-tucked under his bottom). He may be big enough that squashing his legs up under his body or in front of his body makes it difficult for him to get a full breath.

Trust your instincts -- if you think he's uncomfortable, he probably is!
