excuse my pity party.<br><br>
my cat ran away. not just any cat; this is frankie bones, the world's most badass sassy siamese cat. he slipped out last night and we forgot to bring him in. it stormed last night (and again this afternoon) and i found little muddy cat prints on the screendoor. he was trying to come back in. dd and i walked all over the neighborhood this afternoon but didn't find him.<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/bawling.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="bawl"><br><br>
dd was super cranky this evening and she bit my arm and i have a bruise. we've got thrush, too, among other things that just crushed my spirit today.<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/bawling.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="bawl"> i just want my cat back. i'm so worried about him. there are so many dogs in the neighborhood and i don't want him to get hurt.<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/bawling.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="bawl">

Both my cats got out one day. They'd never been outside for all their respective 5/6 years. They left for 3 days. Then came back. Healthy as they left.<br><br>

Don't loose your hope, my favorite cat disapeared once for 30 days! and he came back a little bit thinner but in perfect shape. If you think that for some reason he cannot find his way back home, may be you can put his litter box outside so he can trace the smell... My first cat was out right before a rain and she was begging to come in and I told her to go play some more before it rained and she was stuck inside. I bet Frankie will come home though- I've heard so many stories of cats disappearing for a few days. It's not like dogs- you lose your dog for week you lose your dog forever. I had an experience similar to MamaDaednu - my cat, who lives with my parents because my landlady doesn't allow pets, got out of the house in the middle of the night in a brand new neighbourhood that she had never been in before. I had just arrived for a visit to my parents' new house, it was 1 AM, and we were carrying my stuff into the house when Smudge saw her chance and bolted. My dad ran after her, clapping his hands <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/eyesroll.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="roll"> - which scared the crap out of her. She was gone for 3 very long days. I didn't think I'd ever see her again - how would she find her way home if she didn't know the neighbourhood? But one night, while my dad was sitting in the living room, he heard a noise at the window - and there was Smudge, patting the glass with her paw and meowing to come in. I sincerely hope that you have a happy ending too <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/hug.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="hug">

would the litter help? i left food out for him and it was eaten, but i have a feeling it was probably some dakrats or something.<br><br>
one of my parents' cats, this weird cat named sid, used to run into the garage and sneak out of a hole but usually came back after a day or two. then last easter, he ran away and never came back <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad">.

thats something I worry about all the time..........we have a siamese, too, but he's SUPER scaredy cat and if he ever got out I'd go nuts........he wouldn't know what to do with himself.<br><br>
make sure to put some signs up right away just in case some of your neighbors see him running around. and good luck.
