We are moving and I would like this to be a chance for our family to refine our NFL efforts. I'd love a little guidance because we are in a place to start new in so many areas (something that's difficult for me to do in the midst of daily life).
First, we're renting a new place to live. I already know that we'll be looking for a place that's not too big but I'd love some other suggestions like what to look for with air quality and general issues around where and why type of housing one chooses. (health as well as environmental issues)
I'll also need new cleaning supplies (laundry, dishwasher). This has been something we aren't so great with so I'd really benefit from some basics.
We'll be choosing utilities and I posted about Green Power, which is something I'll look into. What else?
I've considered joining a co-op for organics but there isn't one in my area. There is a delivery service but I'm not sure about this. Maybe I could find a farm to visit once/week. Thoughts? Also, I'd like to switch to only organic meat but that will mean finding some alternatives for DH who eats quite a bit of meat, which we couldn't afford if we switched to organic. Alternatives to ready made meals would be helpful as well because DH likes a fast, easy meal from time to time.
That's all for now, Thanks.
